Voraprapa is an Associate Professor of Economics whose research focuses on how technology is transforming the economy and changing the way we think in economics and business. In 2017, she introduced the “Digital and Innovative Economy” field subject at the Faculty of Economics, Chulalongkorn University. She also serves on the executive board of the faculty.

Voraprapa’s research has been published in several international journals, including The Economic Journal, Economic Modelling, and Finance Research Letters. Her work has also earned recognition from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), which awarded her the National Research Prize in 2023. Voraprapa regularly writes op-ed articles in local newspapers and occasionally hosts local radio shows.

Voraprapa earned her Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics from the University of Southern California, a Master’s degree in Applied Economics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering (Honors) from Chulalongkorn University. Before joining academia, Voraprapa began her career in consulting, working at KPMG in the USA and PwC in Thailand, where she served multinational companies in various industries.
